Realising the Final Charging Orders that you have | | In our experience, companies who have obtained Final Charging Order's on their debtor's property have not known how to recover that security. It is common practice to sit on a Charge awaiting a sale or re-mortgage, running the risk that the debtor who is in will just continue to make their mortgage payments for ever and a day.
There is also a significant risk that the debtors financial situation gets progressively worse, they miss mortgage payments and any equity evaporates before the house is repossessed. How do you unlock the potential and recover monies? We can help! We provide reports which evaluate the debtor's current financial position, together with assessing the validity of whether there is equity in the property to realise your Charge. We can then undertake the recovery of that secured debt. For details about these services, please contact Gareth Rhodes on 0113 3200264 or alternatively, email gr@tremark.co.uk. | | The perception of a Debt Collector is often a bulky shaven-haired man wearing a doorman's coat, a cricket bat in one hand and the debtor by his ankles in the other, usually shaking money out of their pockets. Although we want to keep such an image; like all professionals, Debt Recovery is more than that. More often than not, we are negotiators; if a debtor owes you, they owe others and so tipping them over the financial edge isn't beneficial to anybody. The advantage is knowledge. Knowing your debtor both financially and circumstantially opens negotiations and stops disputes or stalling tactics.
For example; a debtor recently stated that their business was struggling and that they were only in a position to offer £50 per month. From the information we had gathered, the perspective was very different. We knew that the debtor had owned their property for some time, with only the original mortgage; suggesting that there was equity. We also knew that their business was doing well and the debtor was a 'won't payer', unwilling to raise funds to pay their debt. With this information, we were able to have the debt paid.
Recession or no recession, people who want to avoid their liabilities, plead hardship; but when this is the case, you, through us, are in control. Perhaps it is a case of getting the debtor by their ankles and allowing the information and then the money to fall out of their pockets. | | "HMRC Debt Help Hiding Corporate Insolvencies" says expert | | It has recently been commented that HM Revenue and Customs is now "acting more like a lender than a tax collector..." (Steve Clancy, Partner at MCR). The help given to businesses in deferring tax payments could potentially be hiding the true extent of corporate insolvencies; which ultimately could lead to a sharp increase in the level of company insolvencies.
The HMRC is likely to start calling in its debts and only now will the extent of their 'lending' be seen.
