An important new survey has reported that the UK economy expanded in the three months between April and June. While welcoming the positive signs produced by the study of 5,000 firms, the British Chambers of Commerce nevertheless warned that growth in some sectors is sluggish and that austere times ahead mean that a return to sustained recovery is not yet totally secure.
