Forms for filing documents at Companies House

Dear Member,

Some confusion has arisen over the forms that must be used for filing documents at Companies House in insolvency proceedings.

As noted in Technical Bulletin 90, the forms prescribed by the Insolvency Rules for this purpose were revoked by the Insolvency (Amendment) Rules 2010. As also noted in that Bulletin and in Bulletin 91.2, forms for delivering information to Companies House are now specified by the registrar of companies under powers conferred by the Companies Act 2006. The registrar has now specified forms for use in insolvency proceedings, and these are available on the Companies House web site at:

http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/forms/insolvencyForms.shtml

As can be seen from the Companies House web site, the forms revoked by the Insolvency (Amendment) Rules have been replaced by forms specified by the registrar with identical numbers to the revoked forms and in most cases in the same format - except for such changes in wording as are necessary to reflect changes in procedure introduced by the Amendment Rules.

The registrar’s insolvency forms are specified by the Registrar’s (Amendment) Rules 2010, which are available here:
