Corporate Strategies, the national business turnaround division of Leonard Curtis, has teamed up with Midlands-based finance broker Business Finance Solutions (UK) Limited to launch tax-flow.com, a loan product aimed specifically at UK businesses with arrears of PAYE and VAT.

 

Whilst HMRC continues to provide assistance to businesses with outstanding tax liabilities by agreeing to its structured time-to-pay arrangements, there is often a pre-condition set by HMRC for businesses to provide a ‘lump sum’ or ‘bullet’ payment as part of the repayment plan.

 

The loan product available via tax-flow.com is designed to cover this ‘lump sum’ requirement.

 

Rik Heap, national head of Corporate Strategies, confirmed that HMRC’s stance against businesses with tax arrears was toughening as it seeks to maximise tax revenues from the corporate sector.

 

He said: “Company directors need to demonstrate an ability and commitment to pay off their business tax arrears in a timely manner. Providing an initial lump sum to HMRC demonstrates their commitment and it is hoped that this new loan product will assist with the process.”

 

The loan is designed to be repayable alongside the time-to-pay arrangement period agreed with HMRC and will be secured against surplus company assets such as property, vehicles, stock and machinery where appropriate.
