The court could exercise its discretion under the Insolvency Act 1986 s.236 to order Revenue and Customs to disclose information to a liquidator which had been obtained from a foreign authority under a letter of request, and was not prevented from doing so by the Crime (International Co-operation) Act 2003 s.9(2).
